Turnkey anechoic, semi-anechoic, and shielded chamber delivery — Ames, Iowa

Anechoic chamber design, construction, and installation

Anechoic chambers with a performance number we stand behind

Gorgenix designs, constructs, installs, and verifies anechoic and semi-anechoic test chambers. One contract, one accountable team, measured results at handover.

  • One accountable partner from acoustic model to handover.
  • Room-within-a-room construction that actually holds its numbers.
  • Performance verified on site, not just promised on paper.

Room-within-a-room delivery, designed and built as one acoustic envelope

$2,500

Fixed fee for the chamber design and feasibility study.

$80 / sq ft

Turnkey semi-anechoic chambers, supplied and installed.

80 Hz

Verified low-frequency performance, down to, on larger rooms.

2 years

Workmanship and performance warranty on every chamber.

Why single-contract delivery

Built by the team that models the room

Most chamber projects break down in the seams — between the acoustic design, the construction crew, the absorber installer, and the commissioning agent. Gorgenix closes that gap by keeping acoustic engineering, construction, installation, and verification under one roof and one contract. You get a room whose measured performance matches the target we wrote into the proposal.

What that means for your project

  • One accountable partner from acoustic model to handover
  • Self-performed isolation, absorber, door, and sealing work
  • Background noise, free-field deviation, and quiet-zone results verified on site
  • Two-year workmanship and performance warranty on every chamber

Core service

Turnkey anechoic chamber delivery

Our core service takes a test requirement and returns a finished chamber: acoustic prediction and room layout, structural isolation, absorptive treatment, acoustic doors and penetration sealing, silenced ventilation, and commissioning measurement. One project engineer owns the result from first call to verification report.

One contract for the whole room

  • Acoustic prediction and room layout
  • Structural isolation and floating floor
  • Absorber selection and installation
  • Acoustic doors, windows, and penetration sealing
  • Silenced ventilation and in-chamber services
  • Commissioning measurement and written verification report

Services overview

What we build

Full anechoic chambers, semi-anechoic and hemi-anechoic rooms, and shielded enclosures for radiated test programs — plus the feasibility studies, isolation systems, silencing, and verification work that make them perform.

Measurement headphones positioned inside a fully treated anechoic chamber

Full anechoic chambers

Six-surface absorptive treatment with an isolated absorptive floor, for free-field measurement of transducers, enclosures, and complete assemblies.

Slatted acoustic wall treatment above a wedge absorber array

Semi-anechoic and hemi-anechoic rooms

Absorptive walls and ceiling over a load-rated reflective floor, for equipment that is measured in a ground-reflective condition and rolled in on its own wheels.

Perforated absorber panels fixed over a shielded enclosure wall

Shielded RF and EMC enclosures

Sealed shielded shells lined with radio-absorbing material, with filtered power, waveguide ventilation, and penetration panels integrated from the start.

Delivery process

Five phases, one verification report

Discovery, feasibility and modeling, detailed design, on-site construction and sealing, then commissioning with documented results. Every phase ends with something you can review, and the acoustic envelope is inspected as it closes rather than after it is buried.

1

Discovery and requirement definition

A written statement of project requirements and a scope summary for your approval.

2

Feasibility, modeling, and performance target

A performance prediction, a room geometry concept, and a construction budget estimate.

3

Contract, detailed design, and material release

A stamped drawing set, an installation schedule with milestone dates, and a material release plan.

4

On-site construction, installation, and sealing

Weekly progress reporting, checkpoint inspection records, and a clear list of remaining items before commissioning.

5

Commissioning, verification, and handover

A written verification report, as-built documentation, and an operator briefing on door handling and gasket care.

Industries

Chambers for demanding test programs

We build measurement environments for audio and transducer development, automotive and electric vehicle NVH, aerospace and defense electronics, wireless and semiconductor characterization, appliance and HVAC sound power testing, and university research laboratories.

Consumer audio and speaker manufacturing

A true free-field environment for frequency response, directivity, and sensitivity measurement of loudspeakers, headphones, microphones, and audio electronics.

Automotive and electric vehicle NVH

Hemi-anechoic and semi-anechoic rooms for vehicle, powertrain, and component noise measurement, with load-rated floors and a rolling access path.

Aerospace, defense, and avionics electronics

Shielded anechoic enclosures for radiated emission and immunity testing of avionics, radar modules, and communications hardware at defined test distances.

Wireless, telecom, and semiconductor devices

Shielded chambers and antenna measurement environments for device characterization, over-the-air testing, and radiated performance work.

Home appliance and HVAC equipment manufacturing

Semi-anechoic rooms for sound power measurement of appliances, fans, compressors, and HVAC equipment, with reflective floors and practical access.

University and research acoustics laboratories

Full anechoic chambers for psychoacoustic studies, material characterization, transducer calibration, and graduate research, often inside an existing building.
